Ingredients

2.5 oz Brami rotini pasta
1 (14.5 oz) can diced or crushed tomatoes (no salt added preferred)
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper (adjust to taste)
Fresh basil leaves, torn or left whole
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional Toppings
1 tsp olive oil
1 Tbsp grated Parmesan or seasoned breadcrumbs
Additional basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a small saucepan over medium heat, sauté the minced garlic in 1 tsp olive oil (if using) until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add the canned tomato and crushed red pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly reduced.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in torn basil leaves at the end.
Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce until fully coated.
Plate and top with Parmesan or breadcrumbs, if using. Garnish with whole basil leaves and serve hot.
